I’ve been procrastinating since childhood, not knowing what to do with my life. I was stuck with a boring routine, wake up, college , sleep, repeat. All of sudden at beginning of the year 2020 ,I started exploring things which I wanted to do. First I stepped on to music which is keyboard, really got frustrated at the first but got a hold of it now, but I’m not going to pursue musicians life for the rest, so I was in search again. I tried varies stuff , even I got into financial markets, huge fan of Warren Buffet, but still I had something missing.
At school age I was really good at programming, so I gave it a shot, learnt python from YouTube tutorials online, next I went on where I can apply it, created some basic games using python language. Then there was this hype in college students on topic called Machine Learning, that's when I started my journey. From the last months I’ve been taking Andrew NG course which is pretty famous among the ML courses available. Its been fun.
In my instances there are many students/friends who are learning machine learning, that's the one thing makes me scared of me taking a step further. I’ve decided that ML will be my future, It took days and night of decision making. The one reason I’m taking it was, there are so many people learning ML, but not knowing how to apply it or learning it the wrong way. So, I’ll be taking the online courses as well and parallelly I’ll be doing practical, to fill the gap.
It’s going to be one hell of trip, excited as well as scared but ready to face it. If someone is better at you at some field, and if you really want to excel the only thing you can do is WORK HARD [no shortcuts], just keep pushing yourself and one day without realizing, you’ll be ahead of everyone. Make sure you have the passion for the field your working on and don’t look at the future nor the past, be at the present, you have an advantage that most of them are missing.
My decision on learning ML was decided at the moment when I started jumping UP and DOWN when my first book on ML [Hands On Machine Learning by Aurelien Geron]arrived from amazon. ❤💕
